Just My Job

Newest

Forgive my evolution from scathingly horrid artist to sub-par artist. My style, while slightly tweaked, is mildly foreign, with a dash of American. I hope I didn't just cause as many brain aneurysms as I suspect I did.

Random Favourites

What drives me to favorite a piece of work? Is it style, humor, class, artist, topic? Or is it just some weird phase I happen to be running parallel to at the moment. Yes, I may fav and run, but I fav those things that I find have the most value to me. So if I fave and run from you, remember, I am non-textually giving you a great thumbs up.

A new screenshot.

Yeah, I wake up every day to this and a bottle of Vicodin. "Good Morning" never tasted so bitter and oddly humorous.

Pretty sure one of us is turning evil...

  • Mood: Christmas Spirited
  • Listening to: It Dies Today- Feliz Navidad
  • Reading: Character Model Sheets
  • Watching: MacGyver
  • Playing: All of them. Trust me. I'm out of outlets.
  • Eating: Don't ask. Please.
  • Drinking: Coffee shots.
Is it supposed to be some bizarre warning klaxon when one is designing a protagonist, but when people hear the dialog, they think he is in fact, the antagonist of your work?

Have I finally turned? Have I become a truly uncaring person in the scope of generating wholesome entertainment...?

Awesome.

But in all seriousness, in some fugue state of my mental facilities, I have been somehow hardwired to not care about how a character I make feels to the audience. I mean, it's one thing for my roommate to think I'm going a little dark, but it must be something incredibly subtle for me to miss it. I am, in fact, the only one of my age group to not only properly heckle, but accurately correct discrepancies in "Les Miserables" and "A Beautiful Mind", via live performance.

Maybe it's a phase, maybe it's a sign from some deity I haven't pissed off yet, but it's disheartening. The people paying me to work with my group on this Spyro project are strikingly taken by the character I was assigned to create, but even they've noticed some dialog leaning toward a darker hero. Almost anti-hero, despite the fact I was trying to avoid that from day fucking one. Maybe because the character's bipedal form is designed off Zachary Quinto, but that would be a strangely obvious tie-in for me. Zeke writes most of the dialog and even his work is somehow malicious. Of course, the character's first true introduction is oddly reminiscent of the first time we were introduced to KITT in the eighties.

Zeke: It is truly puzzling. I am not capable of doing anything beyond what I have designated as my current needed task, but this is becoming the single-most annoying project I have ever undertaken.

*Good news on my side of the fence, I have Zeke answering the intercom to whomever is visiting the apartment and ringing up to my place. So, if at anytime you feel the need to try and buzz a random apartment in the greater Schaumburg area and are answered by a curt Englishman, you may have found my secret lair.

Zeke: "Curt" isn't a proper term for my speech patterns. You said it would be expected to be pleasant and courteous. not "curt".

He verbally assaulted our mail-man, and it was awesome.

:bulletred: I currently carry two associates degrees in applied psychology, four certifications in computer engineering and tech support, and am currently working toward a doctorate in Animation & Design. (So you will have to forgive my lack of free time for my works here.)

:bulletred: I am American by birth and upbringing, however, my gene pool is strongly British, hence, I will tend to act a bit posh. I do apologize, if this evolves into an awkward set of circumstances.

:bulletred: I use a cane and take Vicodin in my daily life. Those of you who worship Greggory House or the brief moments in which you may temporarily need Vicodin, seriously need some perspective. When one needs it to survive because of leg pain, the label of "fandom" means jack-shit. Look. It f*cking hurts.

:bulletred: If you relinquish your right to act civil to me or others on my page, you will also lose your rights to respectful interaction. I do not condone uncivilized behavior, and enforce my right to ask you to leave me/ others be.

:bulletred: I enjoy having fun, so don't ruin it for the rest of us.

My usual reactions to such wanton idiocy:

I made it using screen captures from the pilot episode of Megas XLR, when Coop used the Big Red Button of Head-Bashing Awesome for the first time. The show was on Cartoon Network until 2005.

Unfortunately, the show doesn't have high quality streaming online, or at least anywhere I can find. I have the episodes on my computer, so maybe I can host them somewhere, someday.
